Hubs and I love this meal and it is our go to homemade "Chinese" food recipe. It serves 2 people and can easily be doubled to feed more.
2 thawed chicken breasts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp onion flakes
1/8 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes.
1) Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper and place in the crock pot.
I used 3 pretty small chicken breasts.
2) In a small bowl combine the honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes and pour over the chicken.
3) Cook on low for 3 hours or high 1 1/2 hours. Cut chicken into small pieces or shred and return to crock pot to toss with sauce. Serve over rice or with noodles.
After I shredded the chicken.
Served over brown rice.
