Chapter 2 In Parenting Fail 101

Saying that today has been rough is an understatement. Running a single errand turned into a 3 ring circus. I am forever going to blame it on the sales lady that greeted us as we walked in the door and told me my kids were being so well behaved. Pretty sure by the time we left that store she wanted to put her foot in her mouth.

I can't even blame Carson for any of it because she was just sitting there drooling and giggling to her self. This chaos was all Hendrix. I swear he is going to grow up to be a magician, because he can get out of anything. Car seat buckles are his specialty...oh and running. I knew my time was running short after he finished all 3 snacks I brought with us so we headed to check out. During our two minutes of checking out Hendrix managed to escape his stroller seat and take off running arms flung to the side(see video).

He pretty much always runs like a drunk midget except this time there happened to be displays of way too much crap you don't need at kid level. Let's just say the majority of those displays got either knocked over or off.

But I don't want you to think this is the only bad thing that happened.  It was just the only embarrassing one because there was still the usual throwing of food, refusing to stay in the car seat, and screaming fits that are part of toddler life.  Obviously a time out was in store, but that backfired on me like always because He just turns it into an early nap time. Which we all know just leads to more crankiness later when there is too many hours in between a nap and bedtime.

Oh and Carson is starting to walk and I would be lying if I didn't say I'm somewhat scared for my sanity. At least they are cute......
